Lotion is not shea butter. Shea butter is not Glow Oil. People treat them like the same jar because they all go on after a shower. They are not the same job.
The complaints I keep hearing are the same three. Lotion is gone by lunch and the skin looks ashy again. Shea butter feels greasy and they are afraid of the blouse. Body oil does nothing if they put it on dry skin, then they swear oil is a scam.
None of those people picked the wrong product. They picked one product for three jobs, or they used the right one on the wrong skin.
Here is how I decide, and how most people who buy from me end up using two or all three.
WHAT EACH ONE ACTUALLY DOES
Lotion – Hand & Body is water plus oil. Desert Allure. 500 ml pump, $58. It goes on light. It absorbs. You can dress. It is the everyday. Hands and body. If your skin is normal to a little dry, and you need to leave the house, this is the one.

Shea Coco Butter is the rich one. Unrefined Nigerian shea, cocoa, mango, coconut. 100 g is $25. Vanilla, grapefruit, or lavender. It sits. It feeds skin that looks ashy an hour after a regular lotion. Elbows, knees, shins, winter, after a long flight. If lotion never lasts on you, you do not need a better lotion. You need butter.
Glow Oil is the seal and the sheen. 100 ml, $28. Shea, coconut, rosehip, jojoba, argan, carrot seed, vitamin E. Handcrafted in Nigeria. Face and body. It does not add water. It locks in the water that is already there and leaves a glow. The 50 ml travel is $18 if you want a smaller bottle. The 250 ml family size is sold out, so do not wait on that one.
One is not better. They are different thicknesses for different days.
WHICH ONE FOR YOUR SKIN
If you get dressed in five minutes and hate residue, start with lotion.
If your legs look gray by noon, or your elbows stay rough no matter what bottle you finish, start with shea butter.
If you want skin that looks awake, not just soft, start with Glow Oil. Put it on damp skin or it will sit on top and feel like grease. That is the oil complaint. The oil was never the problem. Dry skin was.
If you are not sure, do not buy a ranking. Buy the one that matches the complaint you actually have. Most people who stay with me end up with two. A lot of them end up with all three.
WARM, DAMP SKIN. RIGHT OUT OF THE SHOWER.
Shea butter on warm skin right out of the shower — pat once, then shea.

That is the move. Not dripping. Not towel-dry and cold. Out of the shower, pat once, leave a little water on the body, then put shea on while you are still warm. Glow Oil second, while the skin is still damp. Lotion last where you need a clean finish.
Oil and butter do not make water. They trap it. If you wait until you are dry, there is nothing to trap, and you will say the product failed.
Lotion can go on damp skin too. It is more forgiving if you already dried off. That is why it feels easier. It is also why it disappears first.
HOW TO LAYER TWO, OR ALL THREE
This is the order I use when the skin is thirsty. Shea first. Glow Oil second. Lotion last.
Shower. Turn the water off. Pat once.
Shea Coco Butter first, on warm damp skin — the places that get ashy, or all over if the whole body is dry. A little. Warm it in your hands so it melts.
Glow Oil second, while the skin is still damp. A few drops. Legs, arms, décolletage. This is the seal. This is the glow.
Lotion last on the parts that need to go into sleeves or a steering wheel without a shine. Hands. If you want a cleaner finish on the arms, lotion there too.
If you only have two minutes, pick one. Lotion for speed. Shea for dry. Glow Oil for damp skin and a sheen.
If you only layer two, the pairs that work:
Lotion plus Glow Oil, for everyday plus glow.
Shea plus Glow Oil, for dry skin that also wants to look like skin, not matte powder.
Lotion plus shea, for a workday when you want the body soft and the hands clean.
Perfume goes after the body is done, on pulse points. Desert Allure Perfume Oil is a 10 ml dropper, not a roller. One drop. Then the Eau de Parfum if you want throw. Do not mix the perfume oil into the Glow Oil. They are different jobs.
A NOTE ON GREASE AND CLOTHES
If shea or oil feels greasy, you used too much or you used it on dry skin. Warm it. Use less. Wait two minutes before the blouse. Put it on damp, not wet-dripping, so it has somewhere to go.
If lotion is not enough, stop buying a new lotion. Add shea or Glow Oil on the shower. That is the whole point of a layer.
